A4 Doku: Engine Control Not Connecting to WFS. (Solution)

The engine control unit cannot be adapted to the immobilizer system.

Cause:
For the 2000 model year, a new generation of circuit breaker panels was introduced (featuring a new lighting concept, extended maintenance intervals, etc.).
This circuit board module is already internally prepared for the third generation of immobilizer systems, but that functionality is not currently activated.

Solution:
To adapt a motorcycle engine control unit (ECU) to the immobilizer system, a login procedure must first be performed in the dashboard module. This involves entering the immobilizer security code. Only after this can the engine control unit be adapted (diagnostic function 10, channel 00).
