Hello,
"In my Fabia with the ATD engine, I've noticed a decrease in performance recently."
However, this also results in increased fuel consumption, even when driving at the same speed and with a similar style.
Even with constant highway driving at 120 km/h, it's difficult to achieve an average fuel consumption of less than 5.3 liters.
The diagnostic tests I ran show all the usual values within the normal range. From the mass airflow rate to the boost pressure, the readings seem to be okay. However, in the lower RPM range, up to about 1400 RPM, the actual boost pressure is significantly below the target value, and that's also why the acceleration feels sluggish at those speeds.
I would like to include the logs I created as attachments, but I don't see a way to upload the .xls file here.
Perhaps someone could take a look at the logs and then send them over.
The car is somehow only making slow progress. The fuel consumption at 100 km/h is easily around 5 liters.
When accelerating, the turbocharger's effect is barely noticeable, and it doesn't really kick in until above 2000 RPM.
The engine starts without any problems, even when cold, runs smoothly, and otherwise shows no unusual signs.
One thing I've noticed is that either I'm still experiencing some hearing issues, or the engine seems to be running "quieter" than I remember it being (the PD engine). Also, I can no longer hear that familiar slight whistling sound of the turbocharger when you give it full throttle in the lower RPM range.
During a full-throttle run, the car took just under 55 seconds to accelerate from 100 to 160 km/h, and approximately 31 seconds to go from 160 to 180 km/h.
I can send you the logs if you like.
Bertil noch mals Dank für den Tipp mit den Dateien. Here is the link.
Okay, I'm ready. Please provide the German text you want me to translate into English.
