I just completed my first log voyage; previously, I was always stuck at a fixed location.

I've been experiencing a gradual decline in performance for some time now.
Vehicle:
Ibiza ATD engine, approximately 105 kW, manufactured in 2003, 120,000 km mileage, particulate filter retrofitted 15,000 km ago (Bosal), mostly used for long distances, often driven at low RPM on highways, but also occasionally driven aggressively.
Oh yeah, unfortunately, the EGR valve has been defective for the last 50,000 km.

The suspicion of a faulty mass airflow sensor (MAF) is likely, but it could also be the aftermarket filter.
Could someone please take a look at the logs?
War im 3. Gang.

Thank you very much!
Alex.

If you have the opportunity, you should format the logs as described here, because currently they are just a jumble of numbers. Tip: The better you format them, the faster you will get help.

In my opinion, the LMM values are acceptable given the data you provided.

Is that ATD? Shouldn't it normally be a 100hp PD engine? Perhaps you could provide us with some additional information?

What does the error memory say?

How do you notice the loss of power?

Hi Matthias,

Either process the data further or, like he did, just load it as raw data; that's perfectly fine.

With the free tool KDataScope, you can simply click on it, and without any further effort, you can see what's happening.
"I think using a single-click solution is simpler than dealing with complex programs like Excel, and besides, you either need Excel or OpenOffice, which not everyone has installed on their computer."

@a dancer:
Your language model is okay, but it could indirectly be caused by a corrupted dataset. The file doesn't look very professional; it seems like someone just quickly added something with an extra 20%.
Therefore, my assumption is that slight variations in air mass significantly affect performance (see measurement block 8, where the third value appears to follow a pattern).
Turbocharging is standard equipment, which is fortunate because the ATD engine is already relatively low in soot emissions; otherwise, there would be problems.
Overall, unfortunately, we can't say anything definitive because we don't know what changes were made in the file. icon_razz.gif Either accept this situation or revert to a previous version of the software for troubleshooting, or contact me.

Here's a quick tip: ATD/AXR engines are particularly sensitive to added diesel filters; while other engines may also be affected, I notice it especially with these models.

Best regards, Rainer.

The ATD has a rated power of 74 kW, but the actual power loss could only be determined using a dynamometer.
However, the maximum speed remains unchanged because it would be approximately 4200 RPM anyway.
Error memory is empty.
KPower is currently producing 103 kW, but I will check the registered unladen weight.
Performance upgrade was done approximately 50,000 km ago.

@Rainer
Do you mean the fuel filter or the particulate filter when you say "diesel filter"?
The fuel filter is overdue for replacement according to the maintenance schedule, especially considering the quality of fuel available in Germany.
Can the change be delayed somewhat?

The LD (likely referring to a pressure reading) increased by approximately +0.3 bar after the chipping process, which is consistent with what would be expected based on analogous LDA (likely referring to a measurement technique).
After reviewing the data for a while, it seems that the calculated LD value is somewhat low.

No, definitely not. At most, there were meaningless power spikes during the initial setup, which was also to be expected.

Okay, so the tuner must have made some mistakes back then.
I'll also check the laser distance sensor occasionally, either with my own equipment or...
The analog display for the RAID system is showing a reading that indicates it's going to the moon, or there might be something wrong with the sensor.
Under full load, the analog display shows a holding pressure of 1.3 bar at 3500 min^-1; the connection in the intake manifold is located on a drilled-through thread in the EGR valve, perpendicular to the flow direction.

Again, thank you for reviewing the logs. I've been reading this forum for about 3 years now, and thanks to my laptop, I can finally create my own logs and learn how to read them. icon_smile.gif

The RAID probably comes from China... I estimate the probability that the laser diode sensor is faulty to be less than 1%.

Before the performance upgrade, the (Chinese?) device showed a holding pressure of exactly 1.0 bar.
With the performance increase, I immediately got 0.3 bar more pressure; it seems like this thing might actually work reasonably well.
Scales linearly. When shut off, the pressure drops due to the closing of the shut-off valve.
at -0.8 bar.
I'll definitely look into the matter.
