GRA Audi A4 8D, manufactured in 1999, Engine Control Unit (ECU) location?

Hello!

I wanted to retrofit the cruise control on my A4 1.9 TDI, manufactured in 12/1999 (Engine Code: AVG). I received a new steering column bracket and the corresponding cables in what was supposedly a set that was compatible with my vehicle. Everything was neatly installed and wired, except for plugging the cables into the control unit. Although there is a connection diagram, it doesn't match at all with what I have in my car. According to the instructions:

On the image of my engine control unit, there is a white connector, but 2 of the displayed pins are already occupied. Just took 2 pictures of the 2 white plugs.

Can anyone help me, I don't want to damage the control unit. I only have the 4 cables from the steering column bracket. But where do they go exactly (into the small or large connector)? Does anyone have a pinout available for this? The steering column bracket has the original part number: 4DO 953 513 P 01C switch KLS

Unlocking is probably the lesser of two evils: The GRA activation code is also on the list.

Ja sind sie demzufolge auch. Hab mal den Durchgangsprüfer benutzt und diesen 15 poligen weißen Stecker nachgeprüft. An dem Stecker gehen genau die beschriebenen Anschlüsse (also 7 bis 10) direkt an die 14, 44, 45 und 46 vom Motorsteuergerät. Dann hab ich den Blinkhebel bzw die Schalter für den Tempomat geprüft, ob überhaupt die Tasten funktionieren. Ja tun sie. Dann hab ich in der Werkstatt den Code eingeben lassen und hab selbst gesehen das dann der Buchstabe (G) im Steuergerät drinstand, wo vorher keiner war. Laut mehreren Texten im Internet, bedeutet dies, dass der Tempomat freigeschalten ist.

Fazit: elektrisch richtig verkabelt, Hebel funktioniert einwandfrei, GRA freigeschalten. Leider GEHT ER NICHT . Auch steht kein Fehler im Steuergerät. Die mitgelieferte Sicherung ist auch in Ordnung. Hab dann mal eine Stunde das Steuergerät abgeklemmt, aber keine Reaktion. Das dumme Ding will einfach nicht. Jetzt bleibt mir maximal die AUDI-Werkstatt, die mal das Steuergerät auf Funktion prüfen. Mir fällt sonst nichts mehr ein.

So mein Tempomat geht nun einwandfrei. Mittels anderem Schaltplan und Durchmessen hat sich herrausgestellt, dass der eigentliche Strom (Klemme 75X) völlig im "Originalplan" fehlte. Nun passt es (nach langer Zeit).
