MSG AKN Coding: Guide & Explanation

I've noticed that, in addition to vehicle type and transmission type, the MSG (Message) also includes a value for Euro2/Euro3. What changes with Euro2 compared to the factory-installed Euro3 setting?

I've noticed that, in addition to vehicle type and transmission type, the MSG coding also includes a value for Euro2/Euro3. What changes with Euro2 compared to the factory-installed Euro3 setting?

I would expect a slight decrease in performance. I mean, the Euro III standard might have a slightly higher boost pressure to potentially reduce soot and emissions? However, I don't think the coding can be changed in all cases.
