Coolant Flange Thread Repair G3 AFN

Hello everyone,

"Since my coolant flange (where the temperature sensor is located) is leaking, I want to fix it. About two years ago, I already replaced the seals at the same location, and when tightening the screws, I slightly overtightened one."
I think that if I disassemble the parts, the screw won't tighten properly anymore, so I wanted to insert a threaded sleeve there. Now, here's my question:
What size screw is actually used there? I think it's a 6mm screw, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have any of these threaded sleeves lying around that they could sell me for a small price? I don't want to buy a whole set because I probably only need one.

Hi,

einige Werkstätten verbauen in solchen fällen "Helicoil" (glaub so heist das Zeug).
Der Flansch hat Schrauben drin mit der Größe M6 x irgendwas;

Würde es aber trotzdem versuchen, ob so nicht hält, ansonsten würde ich an deiner Stelle ein paar Werkstätte abklappern (LKW, Landmaschinen, PKW), evtl. leihen die dir das aus.

Ich leih mir da immer den Gewindereparatursatz vom nahegelegenen Motoreninstandsetzer aus. Ist kein Helicoil, sondern "richtige" Gewindeeinsätze, mit außen ca. 7 - 8mm, innen M6.
