Save Problem Logs: How to & Best Practices

Hello,
I wanted to create and save a log file today using version 805.2. With my old laptop and an older version, it worked without any problems, but now with the new laptop and this version, nothing is being saved.
In the file explorer, an empty folder is displayed, while when saving, the folder is shown and also contains files, but these files cannot be accessed.
Can someone help me?

User rights? Installation location? Which installation? Which operating system?

Vista Home Premium.
Installed VAG as an administrator, then started the recording process as a regular user.
C:\Programs\VAG\VCDS-RKS-GER\Logs

Try installing it in a directory like C:\VCDS, for example, but make sure it's *not* in the "Program Files" folder. There's a reason why the suggested installation path is different.
