Hello!
I sometimes provide emergency assistance using VCDS for a Renault workshop that's friends with mine, when they have a VW in their shop and are stuck.
Current case:
A 2-year-old VW T5 with the CAA engine and 78,000 kilometers was brought to a friendly workshop, where a canvas roof structure was installed.
Once that was finished, the test drive revealed that the engine wasn't producing any power; it only revved up to 2500 RPM.
Motorkontrolleuchte leuchtet ständig, Glühwendel blinkt. Emergency mode activated.
I now have the car here.
"There was definitely a weasel in the engine compartment, but I didn't find any obviously damaged cables or hoses after searching for about 10 minutes. I only found dirt, fur, food scraps, etc."
Error reading revealed:
5244 - Fuel pressure sensor (G 247): Short circuit to positive.
P0193 00 (172) - Electrical fault in the circuit.
I ordered the sensor from

just in case.
Then, I also took a look at the fuel distribution rail.
There's a sensor/transmitter attached on both sides.
Looking to the right in the direction of travel, I tapped and jiggled the device a bit.
Once, the engine reacted in a strange way; it sounded slightly different for about 2 seconds.
The connector pins look normal.
So, it's planned to replace the sender tomorrow, but it's not that expensive.
If someone is familiar with this, or has experience with it...
or has better suggestions for getting the car running again.
I would be very grateful.
