Document: Sharan, Auxiliary Water Heating System Not Working (Solution)

Due to overheating, the auxiliary water heating system is switched off shortly after starting.

Cause:
The reason for the overheating is a incorrectly installed water hose in the cooling circuit. A cooling water hose with a thermostat was installed from the first heat exchanger to the auxiliary water heating system. This coolant hose may only be installed in vehicles without an auxiliary water heating system.
In vehicles equipped with an auxiliary water heating system, there is no thermostat in the coolant hose from the first heat exchanger to the auxiliary water heating system.

Solution:
Check if the correct coolant hose without a thermostat has been installed, if not, replace the coolant hose.
