First of all, greetings to everyone.

I'm brand new to this forum, although I've been actively exploring it for several days already.
Recently, I became the proud owner of a "Diagnosetool Profi CAN USB," and of course, I've already used it for all sorts of things (mostly useful ones).

Now I wanted to lower the idle speed in the MSG, as it seems a bit too high. Unfortunately, this apparently only works with a login.

The control unit did not accept the login "12233", which is known to be used in some cases. However, I haven't found any information online or in this forum suggesting that there are other logins for the 4-cylinder diesel engines.

The vehicle should not have any chip tuning or other modifications, as it is a former lease car from Siemens.

Here are some more details:
First registration: 03/2006.

Address 01: Engine Control Module
Label file: DRV\03G-906-016-BLB.lbl
Part number SW: 03G 906 016 JD, HW: 028 101 265 4.
Part number: R4 2.0L EDC G000SG 9905.
Revision: --H02--- Serial Number:
Encoding: 0000072
Operating number: WSC 49930 141 78974

No error codes found.
Readiness: 0 0 0 0 0

It would be great if you could enlighten a newbie...

Here's another piece of information: VCDS version: DRV 908.2.

This login is also not set up/intended icon_wink.gif. There are some for these engines, but not this one anymore icon_biggrin.gif.

Ah, okay. Well then, I can try it. icon_rolleyes.gif

Then your answer will lead to two more questions for me.

Does this have anything to do with this specific engine (16V without a DPF)?

Which login is the correct one then?

"About six months ago, I took my car to the mechanic because I thought it was vibrating too much at idle. I had recently switched from a 1.9 TDI, and in direct comparison, it was extremely noticeable."
The friendly technician then installed a software update for me, but I didn't notice any difference compared to before. Is it possible that the workshop couldn't install new software without logging in?

Regards,

Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation.

Hmm,

On the one hand, it's reassuring that I have the latest software version installed, but on the other hand, icon_sad.gif it doesn't help me at all.

How do I obtain that, or the correct login code? And why doesn't anyone else ask for it here?

And why isn't anyone else asking about it here?

I think it's because nobody has problems with their idle speed icon_lol.gif icon_wink.gif.

How do I obtain the correct login code?

Are the possible login codes not displayed in the mouse cursor within VCDS? Check with support; they may have more information icon_wink.gif.

Well, I don't really understand what "activating" and "deactivating" GRA means, because I have no interest in disabling my cruise control.

Why were the login codes changed?

--> Apparently, I'm talking to an insider icon_biggrin.gif.

One could check the dataset to see which logins are active. icon_wink.gif

Okay.

Then the next question is:

Wie komme ich ohne Login an besagten Datensatz? VAGDashCAN?
Please tell me there's another way!

Clicking on the file link in VAGCOM would be too easy, wouldn't it?

No, Rainer means that the 'dataset' refers to the content of the flash memory. icon_wink.gif This can only be read out using hardware/software like Byteshooter.
