No, that doesn't work with either VCDS or the Test Clip. The Test Clip only works with a 10-pin connector.

8-pin has a small square MCU inside. The 10-pin has a 24c04 - 8-pin EEPROM . I'll show you a picture.

Are you sure that an 8-pin connector will use the K+CAN interface?

8-pin connectors are considered part of the IMMO I and should work. Information provided without guarantee. I would choose a different tool for that box.

No, that is a 24Cxx tool. MCU = processor, not EEPROM like the 24Cxx .
