Hello,
I have just signed up and already have a question .
Here's my problem with my BMW 123d:
After 12 months of trouble-free operation, the following issues have emerged:
'Pulsing power loss during constant speed driving, complete power loss similar to a sudden throttle cut with an abrupt recovery, complete engine failure during downshifting, starting problems, emergency mode.'
I cleared the error memory (unfortunately, the expression didn't work before) and drove about 70 kilometers.
Throttling valve, not in operating order.
Please provide the PDF content so I can translate it for you.
Can anyone provide any information about this error?
Okay, here's the translation:
Thank you.
Sui.

Sure, here's the translation:
'Nobody?'
Unfortunately, the error occurred again.
No more power output. The instantaneous fuel consumption at full load has been limited to 13 liters (at full load).
After restarting, everything worked again, and full performance was available.

Here, you can see the affected component at position 3.
It seems to be easily replaceable, and a new version is already available.

The "Upload" department, as far as I know, should also be able to handle *.pdf files.

Hello,
The swirl flaps are closed at low load and open at high load.
Perhaps it was driven too slowly for too long (which can cause the flaps to stick), and then occasionally driven at full speed?
How does the valve actuation work on this model? If it uses a servo motor with a plastic gear (like in many VAG AGR valves), the plastic gears can wear down over time (teeth breaking off), leading first to jamming and eventually to complete failure.
Best regards, Rainer.

The CR swirl flaps in VW engines are now also continuously adjustable, using plastic knobs.
Only the older PPD models still have the "open/close" flaps, which tend to become loose in their hinges.

Hi Rainer,
That could be true.
I often ride around on it, which isn't particularly difficult given the torque.
The first time this happened, I was driving with a trailer, using cruise control at approximately 120 km/h. That's basically idling speed.
I'm not sure how the device is supposed to work, but I still have a warranty on the car for this month, and I'll make an appointment with the dealer this week.
I will take a look at it when I have the old part.

The part looks very similar to the V157 component of the 1.6 CR TDI engine in the drawing.
That's then a motor with a gearbox, referring to the teeth that Rainer mentioned.

Possible.
I will report.
Normally, I would just start tinkering with it, but considering the warranty, I'm going to hold off for now.
I'm just glad I now know what it is.
After I checked it myself, and the other BMW workshop always said 'everything is okay.'
