Hello everyone,
"Do you know of any way I can use my HEX-USB+CAN adapter cable (from Dieselschrauber Shop) to read and clear the fault memory of a Peugeot 307? Is there perhaps any open-source OBD software that works with my cable? Everything is actually optimized for my VCD full version."
I would really appreciate your help because my friend is having a major problem with his baguette.
I wish you a Merry Christmas .

Which one? That one, that one, that one, or that one?
Have you pressed the OBD2 button yet?

Oops , that can...

So, apparently he has an issue that's causing the engine check light (fault memory in the engine control unit?) to come on. It seems that the additive tank, which is used to clean the diesel particulate filter (yes, it's a diesel), was empty for a short time. The small auxiliary tank has now been refilled, but the error code still needs to be cleared.
I haven't tried the OBD2 button yet. And I haven't seen the Peugeot either. Can I safely connect the cable to the car without either of them catching fire? I'm not sure how to log into the control unit to clear the error memory... is it like with VAG control units?
Best regards from a completely unsuspecting René.
