Polo 9N3, manufactured in 2006, with Climatronic air conditioning, AXR engine, 1.9 liters.
Retrofitting can be challenging.
There is neither a retrofit kit available from Webasto nor from Eberspächer for...
only for the 1.4L engine.
Did anyone (or a contracted company) manage to do it after all?
Perhaps it's located on the lower left front, near where the large windshield washer fluid reservoir is.
(he would have to give in to the little one and get rid of SRA).
I am grateful for any suggestions.

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about the playing field conditions for polo.
However, it would certainly be necessary to relocate the battery to the trunk in order to install the heating device where the battery currently is.
I came across a forum thread on Motortalk via Google. The thread is titled "Auxiliary heater for 1.9 TDI (100 hp)". In that thread, someone placed the heater in front of the engine, at the top of the engine compartment .
I have the same problem with my Audi, there's no space for a heater . T5 California (CFCA) 4Motion

Thank you. I've already seen this thread, but...
It probably isn't possible to integrate the AXR with Climatronic without major modifications.

It's hard to believe that an installation might not be possible without any issues.
Have you ever looked into which heating device, whether an auxiliary heater or a standalone heater, from either Eberspächer or Webasto is the smallest?
My research on the topic so far:
Thermo Top E: Dimensions 214 x 106 x 168.
Hydronic 4 S, dimensions: 220 x 86 x 101.5.
as well as the Hydronic II auxiliary heater, see picture. However, there are no dimensions provided for it... I have installed every auxiliary heater so far using the universal installation kit.
You will only need the fuel dispenser attachment.
Often, a metal bracket needs to be fabricated.
The auxiliary heater is best placed in the left wheel well.
And it has to be standing up. The SH doesn't do that.
Then, locate the pin for the auxiliary heater within the climate control system and, if available, the pin for the interior monitoring system.

Could the defrosting system be starting up because the auxiliary heater is running and circulating air inside the vehicle? Kaum macht man es richtig, funktioniert es!

Exactly that is happening.
By controlling the system, the sensitivity of the water quality sensor is reduced.

But is it really due to the blown air?
Is the airflow strong enough for the DWA to notice?
I'd like to try that out, but I don't have a drone with an internal monitoring system. Kaum macht man es richtig, funktioniert es!

Leaving the windows open in a car with an alarm system is enough to trigger it.
When the wind blows, she sets off.

I have to report something completely different about our T4.
The bus is equipped with an alarm system that includes ultrasonic interior monitoring, manufactured by VW SCS.
Neither the air heater that warms the passenger compartment nor the auxiliary heater (which blows air through the normal vents at the front) triggers the alarm system.
However, if you insert just 10 centimeters of your hand through a slightly open window, the alarm will trigger. T5 California (CFCA) 4Motion

Both the A3 from 1997 and the Allroad from 2001 have a vehicle security system (DWA).
After 10 minutes with the window open = alarm.
Even in light winds.

Greetings Klaus | .
That's not entirely correct. The vehicle-specific installation kit for the Polo 9N with 74 and 96 kW PD engines is called Eberspächer 24 8317 00 00 00. This includes the mounting bracket for the heater unit. The additional kit for vehicles with Climatronic control is called Eberspächer 24 8098 00 00 00. There is also an installation guide from Eberspächer specifically for this Polo model.
Sure, here's the translation:
"Just a small tip:"
Until November 30th, the heating manufacturer is running a promotion called "Golden Autumn." They are offering a package that includes a heater, a special installation kit, a wireless remote control (Easy Start R+), and the installation manual for your Polo, all at significant savings. Whether you can order directly from them or if your dealer will pass on the offer depends on their specific policies. Passat Variant BGW 2005

There's also an installation guide from Webasto for the TT-C heater in the Fabia (which is largely identical to the 9N). However, I don't think any workshop would attempt this, as it's quite a risky undertaking because the heater needs to be mounted at an angle behind the engine, against the firewall. This requires drilling holes in the firewall and temporarily bending the oil line for the turbocharger.
I have a Webasto TT-V installed in my Fabia. It's the only one that fits properly, and it's located right at the front, in front of the radiator (and air conditioning condenser), directly behind the bumper reinforcement. The TT-C is too large for that location. It works perfectly, although the unit sounds like a jet fighter when running at full power.
A disadvantage of the TT-V is that it unfortunately requires significantly more fuel than the older TT-C/E/Z models, while providing almost the same heating output. Even though Webasto doesn't mention this in the data sheet .
Furthermore, it's not always easy to get the TT-V into the correct gear when using it in vehicles for which it wasn't originally designed.
