Hello,
I now have a Lupo 3L with PD technology.
It is well known that the AGR system causes those unsightly deposits in the intake manifold. Of course, this bothers me too.
But as far as I've read, deactivating the EGR system doesn't only have advantages.
In my 3L Lupo, I mostly drive under partial load conditions and very rarely use full throttle.
In addition, the 3L Lupo doesn't have an electric auxiliary heater for the coolant; instead, a portion of the exhaust gases that pass through the EGR system are also routed through a heat exchanger, which provides additional heating to the coolant.
What happens if I turn off the EGR system? Could the coolant then warm up too slowly, which in turn could lead to increased wear and tear and fuel consumption?
greetings
