3.0 TDI 233HP ASB with Partial Load Studs

I'd like to hear your opinions and experiences. It's about a 3.0 TDI engine with occasional surging or hesitation under partial load. It happens during smooth acceleration or when you need to accelerate quickly, in the time between pressing the pedal and the automatic transmission converting it into forward motion.

The injectors are fine in terms of their values. The error memory is empty, and there are no other noticeable or performance-impacting issues. There is no update available that would fix this problem; existing updates address other issues. The vehicle has 97,000 km on the odometer. What do you think could be causing this knocking sound?

For me, the sound of hammering is an unpleasant acoustic nuisance that bothers me.

I would appreciate any hints and tips.
