I have a small problem, and maybe someone here can help me.
I would like to change the airbag coding so that it works without a deactivation key.
However, I always encounter error 11: "Encoding rejected."
Do I need a login to access this?
Sure, here's the translation:
"Thank you in advance."

Hello,
Please provide a complete online car scan so that users can see which control units and coding are involved.
If the system is coded as "keyless," then no locking mechanism should be installed. Otherwise, there could be serious consequences if someone uses a key to supposedly "deactivate" the airbag, but it doesn't actually deactivate.
Please note that proof of the necessary technical expertise must be provided when working on the airbag system.
Best regards, Rainer.

I'm sorry for writing like this, but my eyes hurt when I read that text.
And a piece of advice: Don't mess around with the airbag system. I get scared when I suspect what you're trying to do.

Okay, the scan will be done today.
"The attempt" is not actually an attempt. Rather, the goal is to modify a used airbag control unit (STG) so that it is compatible with the car. (The car does not have a key-based airbag system.)
And if you have any eye problems, don't worry, I'm happy to help. My brother-in-law is an ophthalmologist.

Little rascal, or what?
The coding is embedded within the label. If this isn't used, the control unit may not support it. Some codes can only be applied once.

Yes, I also thought that the control unit had already been programmed once and is now no longer working. I'll probably have to buy a new one and then get it properly coded.
Okay, well... I was a bit annoyed. The workshop is completely full of work. And then this Audi wouldn't program, and someone makes a typical comment like you'd hear on "Motor Talk": "You naughty boy, don't mess with the airbag!" Grins. Greetings from Swabia.

Hi maxiwixi!
The reference to the necessary technical knowledge required when working on airbag systems has less to do with the standards of MotorTalk than it does with the active or passive reader's assessment of the topic starter and their placement within a certain intellectual group, where the reader typically first assesses their spelling and grammar skills.
"Due to issues related to OT preparation, the forum administrator has implemented a spell checker. This feature is, of course, exclusively available to users who cannot claim any connection to medical professionals or genetics."
Finally, I would like to advise that, especially during stressful and hectic times in the workshop, such obviously careless and unprofessional shortcuts should be weighed against a sense of responsibility.
If it's your car and you only drive alone, do whatever you want.
It's enough that someone is simply riding along; the airbag might not deploy in a crash, or it could even deploy without a crash!
When it comes to personal injury cases, the criminal investigation department (Kripo) will be at your door faster than you can say "excuse me."
In that sense, I think this topic is more suitable for the trash bin.
Best regards from Munich!

Okay, let's make this topic about "expert knowledge." I have the relevant certificate from the Chamber of Skilled Crafts (HWK) in Ulm. And certainly, I won't spend several hundred euros on software just to clear error codes.
Because I need it and use it.
Regarding spelling on the online forum, nobody seemed to care. And there are still people here in Germany who didn't grow up here.
Unfortunately, there is no Croatian VCDS forum. It would be easier for me with the spelling if there were one. Or are technical knowledge and correct spelling checked here?
"No offense." or "Nothing personal."
"The issue is resolved; I had a second control unit (STG) available, and it could be coded. According to Audi, there are STGs that can only be coded once. This applies whether it's for a passenger airbag or reprogramming a key because it's no longer needed."
Greetings! It's m.mixi, not wixi. Laugh out loud!

Hi again!
With the appropriate certification (from wherever), you should also know that you are not allowed to use used airbag components!
Furthermore, the vehicle manufacturer must be notified of the exchange, and they maintain a meticulous database for this purpose. This is important because, in the event of personal injury due to malfunctions, it allows them to track and address potential issues.
Some manufacturers or suppliers must have thought about something when they made the airbag control unit only codeable once, precisely to prevent this kind of scrap trade (through electronic waste) .
No offense, but you shouldn't mess around with airbags!
Best regards from Munich!

That makes sense. However, I don't have to report it; instead, a form is filled out during the order with information like the part number, owner details, etc. (Only for items with an explosive charge control unit can anyone buy it without any record). Of course, I would also need to provide a copy of the airbag certificate. Will the Audi dealer report this or not? However, before installing a new control unit, I wanted to try re-coding my old control unit. It would save me some money on my own car since the airbag switch is now located somewhere else.
Best regards from Munich.

Coding, like all work on the system, falls under activities that individuals are not permitted to do privately. Therefore, if there is no proof of professional competence, it should be stopped â especially because essential aspects of how to handle things are already being ignored.
