Hello,

Do the V10 TDI PD engines actually have four-valve technology and centrally located common rail injectors (PDE), or do they still use the older system where the PDE wears away the aluminum of the cylinder head? It's difficult to find more detailed technical data about these engines; everywhere you look, people are just boasting about power and torque figures icon_rolleyes.gif.

"Thank you!"

However, it's only a two-valve system... I never would have guessed icon_confused.gif.

V10 TDI engines are essentially two R5 TDI engines arranged in a "V" configuration.
Therefore, they also have things like the ring gear drive, for example. icon_wink.gif

Oh, sorry.
I didn't know they were so widespread.
Now I know it icon_smile.gif.

Yes, the cylinder heads look like those from an R5; I actually have one of those engines here right now. It has a turbocharger failure.

I also thought that, because you can actually buy those things, as far as I know...

Therefore, also the aluminum block with the sprayed-in cylinder liners, which then detach icon_rolleyes.gif.
