Hi,
I received a distribution pump as a spare parts donor.
The Bosch part number is 0 460 494 039.
In my opinion, it's a 1.6.
LDA doesn't have it, so JP, ME, and 1V remain. The 9mm distributor body is more likely to be for a 1V engine, but I'm not entirely sure.
Bosch eCat knows the number, but I don't find out anything more than the type designation (which is already printed on it) there.
Could someone please check which engine this part is from?
Thank you.

Okay, bus.
The bus fits, provided the "throttle lever" is bent, because the engine is mounted at an angle in the T3 and is barely covered by the sound insulation.

PS: Uncle Edgar says that the 068 130 107 engine, which is also a Type 2 from 1986-87, is a T3 engine. Transparency, Teamwork

Hello,
Thank you for the information.
Okay, so the 1.6 was only partially correct; the KY is, as far as I know, the 1.7 version - it's interesting that it delivers more power with the same pump (i.e., the same amount).
The pump is missing an adjustment lever, otherwise it would be suitable for the bus. selber schrauben - statt Werkstattpfusch |

As far as I know:
JP - Volkswagen Golf 2 Standard Diesel - 54 hp (8mm pistons)
CS - Reduced power to 50 HP due to durability concerns in the T3 model.
KY - POWERMotor for postal service vehicles - 57 horsepower.
So, significantly more power .

That's clear, but I'm just surprised that the KY, with the same amount, delivers almost 15% more power - it can't be, otherwise, for example, a 3.2-liter engine with the same 25mg(?) would have 100 horsepower .
Apparently, the JX was not trusted to the postal workers - it probably would have "consumed" a cylinder head with every refueling . selber schrauben - statt Werkstattpfusch |

Hi!
At that time, I was in a workshop belonging to the postal service, and then a final series of T 3 vehicles with the 1.7-liter engines arrived from Austria.
I remember that after 1000 km, the cylinder head bolts had to be tightened by half a turn.
There were also a few Golf 2 models with that engine.
"JX" didn't actually exist at the post office; maybe there were just a few prototype vehicles.
That would have been too expensive just for the turbo... it should all be free. And even for delivering packages from house to house, 50 horsepower would have been sufficient.
Otherwise, the post office was likely Volkswagen's testing center.
I've seen and repaired, and even driven, the most impossible vehicles in the workshop and later as a driver, vehicles that simply didn't exist in normal circumstances.
When the TDI engines first came out, we had the early Polos, they were very basic, no interior trim, very lightweight, with a 1.9-liter engine and 90 horsepower.
No one overtook me. That was a real sports car experience; I felt like a king at every traffic light. Grüße, Steffen!

*LAUGH* That's exactly what ULF is for A bare-bones vehicle without any frills .
I'm more familiar with the SDI than the Post-Polo, because I haven't seen any TDI-powered Post Polos.
They were also naked, but they had a strange belt system attached to the door frame, so that the mail carrier didn't have to constantly fasten and unfasten it! Ah... back in the day...
I always wanted to get a decommissioned Post-T3 van, but my father talked me out of it. Just like the 200 D W123...
Actually, I should probably get him bonded for a T5.2 now... as a kind of payback.
After all, the grandchildren should have a good life.
Sorry, off-topic.
I've never seen any post-TDIs either.
There were also those Post-SD polos, with the amazing Lucas ESP, which already starts breaking waves as you approach the swell.

OT to Martin.
So, whoever let themselves be talked out of buying a W123 200 D... hopefully they ended up getting a W123 300 estate! Everything else would be brutal subservience .
And your dad needs to provide a guarantee, specifically for the T6.
