Hello!
Yesterday evening, I was offered a Seat Ibiza.
Towed with the 1.4 gasoline engine, in temperatures of -15°C.
The engine stopped working. The car is otherwise in very good condition.
Today, I took a look at something.
It was strange:
I've reset the engine to its base setting, aligning the KW and NW markings.
and compressed air was introduced into cylinder 1 through the spark plug hole.
It then blew back out through the spark plug hole into the next cylinder.
Okay, I then removed the VD (presumably a vehicle component), and almost all of the wheel bearing supports are completely worn out.
Scratches and grooves.
The valve cover also looked very wet and quite rotten.
I think the engine is broken.
I'm not going to attempt any repairs there.
For price comparison, I couldn't find a single motor at E***.
weird...
Is that a problem engine?
Is this the kind where the oil supply freezes? Grüße, Steffen!

Yep, it looks like it's frozen.
The retrofit kit would have been part number 030 198 999 E.
The block and head are equivalent to the AKK and AUD.
If necessary, replace or modify the attachments. |

Isn't that also the engine where the KGE always freezes? Kaum macht man es richtig, funktioniert es! |

Hi!
What exactly is freezing there?
Okay, from my experience, when the engine coolant freezes, it forces all the engine oil out.
However, that was not the case in this instance.
The oil level was full, and there was no visible oil leakage.
Based on the damage I'm seeing, it looks like there's an oil shortage.
Well, and there was a woman driving, and she also commented on the red warning lights... Grüße, Steffen!

If there's enough water in it, it will also freeze for you.
to the oil pump's suction port.
No oil, no oil pressure > SCRAPE, EAT, CLEAN. |

Hi!
Yes, that's probably how it was.
There was still the full amount of oil in the engine.
"But there was already quite a bit of condensation inside the ZK."
The oil was the cheap kind, and now that I think about it, it looked...
It also has a slightly watery consistency.
Okay, not very clean.
It's a little bit milky.
Thank you for your replies! Grüße, Steffen!
