Hello everyone.

Is there a clear and reliable overview available that specifies which gear oil corresponds to which specification?

Specifically, I'm currently having a problem with the axle oil G 052 145 S2 or G 052 145 A1.

Castrol claims it's a 75W-90, while Fuchs suggests a 75W-85. Google doesn't provide a consistent or unified opinion either.

Most oils meet several specifications.
The required specification must be known. Then, find a suitable oil. Then something will come of it.

And that's exactly the problem, because everyone writes something different...

VW only provides the TN (tire noise) value, and nothing else. That's why I'm looking for another reliable source.

Hey, there's nothing particularly special about this, but I think it's still good information.
