VCDS: Resetting DSG Transmission Settings (Solution)

Default settings for DSG transmissions; the following instructions apply to the use of our VCDS diagnostic systems (HEX-V2 or HEX-NET).

7-speed DSG basic setting (transverse engine, transmission 0AM)

Requirements:
- No errors found in the TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) system.
- Transmission oil temperature: 30°C - 60°C. The temperature of the G510 can be found in measurement block 011.1.
- Gear selector lever in the "P" (Park) position, ignition ON, engine OFF, parking brake engaged.

Procedure for the defined test drive after replacing the mechatronic unit/TCM and/or successful initial setup.

Each time, use the +/- shift lever (Tiptronic mode, applicable to all subsequent steps), and accelerate while partially pressing the accelerator pedal into second gear.
Stop and repeat the process.
Shift into reverse twice and then shift back to a forward gear.
Drive in each forward gear for at least 3 seconds.

Now, drive in the appropriate speed ranges, either A or B.

- Do not use cruise control.

In Tiptronic mode (+/-), start from a standstill and shift up to the 6th gear. While doing so, drive in gears 3 or 5 for approximately 5 minutes each, and also drive in gears 4 or 6 for approximately 5 minutes each.
The engine speed should be between 1200 and 3500 rpm (for clutch adjustment).
Now switch to a normal driving mode, brake sharply (come to a stop), and then accelerate fully (oil return check).
Check the driving behavior and transmission for leaks.


Attention: If the test drive cannot be performed or cannot be performed as described, attempts will be made to carry out the remaining adjustments during normal operation.
