I tried to lower the speed threshold for the dynamic high beam assist feature on my VW Golf VII. The original settings are 57 km/h for activation and 27 km/h for deactivation. I have now set it to 15 km/h and 12 km/h. I tested it, but I couldn't detect any changes. What could be the reason?

I have done the following things:

STG A5 (Front/Forefield camera)
ECU adaptation -> Function 10
Select the channel activation speed for the high beam assist.
Value at 15 km/h.

Select the speed threshold for recommending the use of high beams.
(Speed at which the high beam is automatically dimmed and the high beam assist is deactivated)
Value at 12 km/h.

I saw on the Stemei website that the following vehicle was tested:

Hello,

The Stemei page is confusingly compiled by simply copying information together, instead of referencing the correct association of each control unit (according to the VAG part number), as intended in VCDS.

Besides that, they are selling pirated copies. icon_rolleyes.gif On our side, we have never authorized the distribution of individual components of our software!

Please check if the values you specified are actually saved in the configuration channels, and that the "old" values haven't been retained.
Apart from that, it is possible that the respective control unit (depending on the software version) does not take these values into account at all.

Best regards, Rainer.

I checked again today. The values are saved (see attachment). It's a mystery to me why it's not working. It could also be a hardware issue. It's also questionable whether it ever worked with Stemei. Although it's coded and saved, unfortunately, no changes are visible. And this can only be tested when it's dark enough.

Adjustments to the Lane Assist feature are absolutely not possible. I wanted to change the deactivation threshold, but I always received the message: "invalid value range." Could this be due to the software version? Will a VCDS update bring improvements?

My last question concerns the resetting of the settings. I have reset the DLA activation threshold to 57 km/h and the deactivation threshold to 27 km/h. Is the system now completely back to its original state? Or does the control unit still have some hidden functions?

Good morning.

However, there was always the message: invalid value range. Could this be due to the software version? Will a VCDS update bring improvement?

It depends on the cause of the message. Some software versions in the control units do not allow certain modifications, or these modifications are not intended, or the corresponding configuration variables are not evaluated.
However, it is also possible that VCDS is simply sending the incorrect modification request.
My advice in such unclear cases is therefore to always test the current beta version of .
It can also be helpful to search the web to see if anyone else has had success with the
samehttp://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/download/beta/current.html VAG part number (for example, with 03L-906-018 AB, the "AB" is included, so it should be searched with no, one, or two letters at the end!).

Best regards, Rainer.
