Can anyone help me understand these error messages? I had Xenon headlights and an aLWR (additional low-beam reflector) installed, and now it always says:

Sounds like this component has absolutely no CAN bus connection.

I don't know what the f*ck it was.

It seems like this device has no CAN bus connection at all.

I thought so too. But if that were the case, it wouldn't be possible to diagnose or read it. On the Golf V, everything except the engine and transmission can be controlled via CAN.

Are other control units not also coded for aLWR / Xenon?
Not logged in at the gateway?

Were the aLWR and Xenon STGs used exactly as they were originally installed in a vehicle with the specified chassis number range?

Yes, these are all original parts that are also used in the original equipment.
I have also received another tip, which could be:

Quote:
Your mistake is that you have connected the CAN-bus cables to the diagnostic connector (I did the same at first)!
theoretically, your ECU should not have needed to be re-flashed.

You need to connect to the diagnostic interface. To do this, you need to remove the right trim panel next to the steering column. Further down in the footwell, under the center console, you will see a large, red connector with 20 pins.
There you need to connect to pin 6 and pin 16.
Orange/schwarz -> CAN HIGH
Orange/braun -> CAN LOW

I need to look into this again, but I think he's right. If that's the case, I'll make three crosses.
I have programmed Xenon in the "09-Bordnetz" and "19-CAN-Gateway" menus. That must have been everything needed to make Xenon known.
