Auxiliary Heater Errors: AutoScan Diagnostics

I performed an Autoscan today using VCDS version 12.12.
Dabei fällt der Fehler am Zuheizer auf. I had last.
October: Have the auxiliary heater replaced at the Webasto dealer for a standing heater.
have it rebuilt.
Im Dezember gings dann mit "Rauchproblemen" los. The dealer.

But how do I deal with a flameout?
Could it be due to a "blocked" diesel supply line?
What error does the error message indicate?

- No combustion air is available, or exhaust gases cannot escape.
- No fuel available (due to pump issues/air bubbles), or the amount/dosage is incorrect.
- Combustion chamber/related components defective.

Often, for cost-saving reasons, existing fuel lines are tapped into instead of installing a dedicated line to the tank. This can work well, depending on how it's done and the specific circumstances. However, poorly planned DIY solutions can lead to unreliable fuel delivery, for example, due to air bubbles. Alternatively, the line may simply not be completely airtight, which can also cause air to be drawn in.

Since injected air bubbles do not burn, unlike fuel, the heating system then shuts off.

Since this is the standard-installed auxiliary heater that was simply retrofitted with a "standby heating function," there shouldn't be any issues with the fuel lines.
How can I check the dosage?
I probably need the Webasto Thermotest software for that.
Otherwise, I'm going to disassemble the auxiliary heater and take a look at the combustion chamber to see what it looks like.

The unlocking procedure is correct. After that, you can clear the errors and, for example, perform a forced start using the default settings. This will help to clear any issues and obtain current error messages. Also, end the heating cycle using the default settings and then restart it.
Warning: If the part is heavily encrusted, it will produce a lot of smoke. If you do this, do it outdoors.

If the original ZH unit was installed, Webasto does not supply any spare parts for it. As soon as they realize it's an original equipment (OE) part, they will refer you (or your heating technician) to VW. You can also ask the car dealership if they can send your heating unit for refurbishment.

Be glad you noticed it in the summer. In the winter, it's often difficult to find spare parts and get appointments (wait times) for things like auxiliary heaters. Everything is much more relaxed in the summer.
Have you disassembled anything? A common mistake is connecting fuel lines from heating systems to each other using a piece of rubber hose (like a pipe coupling), but then re-connecting them with a tight fit *inside* that coupling. This can sometimes create an air bubble within the coupling between the lines, which could also cause the problem.

Then I'll remove the auxiliary heater.

I need a "double nipple" for the short circuit.
Do you happen to know the diameter of the heater hose fittings?
Are all VW auxiliary heaters the same? Hopefully, they don't all have different hose diameters.
