Replace AC Pressure Switch: No AC Unit Needed?

Here at the vacation spot, I have an A6 4G that wanted to drive the last 200 of 1200 km without the air conditioning. The pressure sensor seems to be malfunctioning.

Normally, yes. Take it out, put a new one in, and off you go .

Okay, quickly unscrew it; only a small amount of refrigerant will come out. Similarly, before screwing it back in, lubricate the new O-ring with compressor oil and quickly screw it in. There's a valve located beneath the pressure sensor.

I can see the thing through the grill. But the doorman also seems to have a similar grill.
