Hi,
This week I'm getting my 'tuning nozzles' for my A6, I think they are 216 size. I'm going to install them directly and see what the engine can do. I hope 1.1 bar of boost pressure will be enough!

Hi Tim. Which vehicle are you planning to install the nozzles in?
I've been considering installing AGR, AFN, or multi-valve injectors in my car for a while now. The only thing that's been holding me back so far is that I'm not sure if the spray pattern is the same.
Please definitely share your experiences with me.

Quite a bit has already been written about that here.
Without software customization (except for standard software), it won't work.

Then please show me where it states that the nozzles have the same spray pattern.
Best regards.

Oh dear, I don't think this is going to work.
I've been there before. :-/

Hi Tim,
AFAIK, the most powerful TDI engine with the appropriate injectors in the A6 "only" has 103 kW.
The VW Bus TDI with the 216 engines, but with an output of 111 kW.
Therefore, the A6 nozzles might also be a bit smaller than 216... (but I don't know anything for sure). Gruß Ulf

Hi.
I once compared the spray pattern} of the 216 T4 injectors with that of the AFN injectors by inserting small pieces of 0.15 mm copper-coated wire into opposing holes.
As far as one can tell from this "rough estimate," the holes in these nozzles are already aligned, so the larger nozzles in the AFN (air fuel nozzle) will likely also aim at the piston burn pit.
This initially doesn't allow us to make any statements about the beam length, but based on the photos in another thread about nozzles, the dimensions of the combustion chambers are likely very similar, so the spray patterns should at least be approximately correct.
While it may not necessarily apply to the AGR (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für regenerative Energien), it might be a good starting point. Gruß Ulf

Hi,
I'm going to install it in a 1Z, and then we'll see what it actually does.

Among other things, there will likely be a lot of soot if you already have a chip tuning installed... and possibly an even earlier failure of your engine .
Okay, I'm ready. Please provide the German text you want me to translate. Gruß Ulf

Hi Stefan,
Meanwhile, initial "verified" experiences regarding nozzle replacement without software adjustments show that it (in practice) can actually work .
