Okay, I'm stuck.
I have a 2014 T5 and a week ago, one of the key fobs stopped working (I've replaced the battery, etc. - it's not that). The second one still works. Now, for the past 2 days, the second one also doesn't work. Locked in the garage, still locked 5 minutes later: nothing...
Re-synchronize according to The instructions in the flight manual are useless.
All other instructions from the internet also had no effect (when one still worked and now that none of them do).
Plug it in with a VCDS and according to... Instructions for disconnecting car electronics (09), set channel 00 to 0 to delete key: OK
Then channel 01, the number of new keys to be learned must be 2... it doesn't work. "1" can be set, but not saved, 2 or more doesn't work at all.
So, I can't even define that I have more than 0 keys.
The car's electronics now show error 00010, "no remote key has been programmed", haha.
On Wednesday, I have an appointment at the dealership, but I'm kind of worried that I won't be able to manage it myself!
Does anyone here have a suggestion or a new/different instruction?
(I have a full scan, but I don't think it's necessary)

Try this:
Insert a working key into the ignition lock and turn the ignition on.
Insert the key into the lock on the driver's door. Then mechanically lock and then press one of the function keys on this key again.
After a one or two-second pause, press the function button a second time.
Whether the procedure was successful can only be determined after the other ignition key has been removed. LG, Onkel BM

Thank you, autoservice.
Tried everything already and tried again: Doesn't work.
What confuses me the most is that VCDS cannot recognize/learn any keys in channel 01 of the vehicle's electronics.
Best regards, P |

Okay, I've figured it out.
Apparently, the process of re-keying is different (since which model year):
1. Onboard electronics (09), Adjust.
2. Set channel 01 to "0" and write.
3. Then press the button on the FFB.
To confirm, the hazard lights will flash twice.
For each additional key, simply repeat points 2-3.
Best regards, P
