Hello,
I received the vehicle with approximately 6000 km on the odometer (previously a demo car) and immediately had the impression that there was a performance issue...
After several visits to the workshop, a performance measurement was carried out in consultation with Ingolstadt.
All data blocks supposedly ok, but the calculated torque in the data block is too low...
The LMM (lambda sensor) and the turbocharger pressure are also reportedly ok.
The performance measurement showed 181.5 hp (standard 180) and 338 Nm (standard 370)...
according to the dealer's statement within the tolerance...
According to the manufacturer, the fuel pump will probably be replaced...
What do you think about this?
Best regards,
Michael |

Hello,
Your information is not sufficient to make a statement about a possible problem.
Since the measured torque is significantly lower than expected and the maximum torque should be around 2000 min-1, you should measure the intake pressure, air mass, and injection volume with a suitable tool.
Specifically, record the values at full throttle and during acceleration over the entire speed range.
Does the engine show any unusual symptoms, such as smoking, delayed boost pressure build-up, or jerking?
Which parts have you already had replaced during your visits to the workshop?
Greetings, Rainer |

Hello,
Unfortunately, I don't have a way to read the blocks. This has always been done in the workshop, and they also transfer the data to Ingolstadt.
Currently, only the LMM is being replaced.
There is no noticeable difference, no jerking, but the engine is very sluggish in 5th gear (Tiptronic) and overtaking on country roads is also very slow.
When starting, it takes a moment to get going, which I assume is related to the weight and turbo lag.
I had a chip tuning installed, but it started making a strange noise at around 2000 RPM, like something was leaking... However, the noise disappeared after removing the chip tuning.
When accelerating from a standstill at around 20 KM/h, I often hear the typical 'cold start knock,' which is normal...
I also temporarily disabled the AGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system, which initially made me think it was better, but now I don't notice any difference anymore...
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello,
the problem has now been resolved. After replacing the fuel pump, the torque values are now within the normal range.
