TD 89/B3 Conversion: Upgrade to Quattro

Hello.

I would like to know if it is possible to install a Quattro all-wheel-drive system from a 115 hp B3 Quattro into an Audi 80 B3 turbo D. Alternatively, could the turbo D engine potentially be installed into a 115 hp Quattro? Does the engine and transmission fit? What needs to be considered regarding the electronics, exhaust system, brakes, front axle, and engine mounts? If these components are not compatible, I won't even start the conversion. Perhaps you could also provide me with information about the conversion costs.

Try using the search function; we were just discussing converting a Passat to a Syncro model.
It probably makes more sense to transplant the diesel engine into the quattro, although that's not really a gift either, since you'll have to replace the entire engine electronics (instrument cluster). Conversely, it probably won't work the other way around, as the underbodies are likely different.
