Electrical Access Control: Configuration & Setup

Hello,
I was able to enter the access permission, 31347, which was displayed to me by VCDS, into the central electrical system, and it was accepted.
If I want to activate features like automatic closing of the trunk or automatic lowering of the mirrors when reversing, or automatic closing via the horn, I receive the message "This service is not supported in this session."
Even completely exiting the program and re-accepting the access permissions does not change this.
What can I do about that?

In your case, Ross-Tech recommends trying Beta version 15.6.0 (your car is very new).

After the download, the HEX interface needed to be updated to version 1.94, which was not a problem.
The attempt to activate the automatic lowering of the mirrors when reversing resulted in the message "Service not supported in active session."
Unfortunately, it's not possible again.

If I were in your position, I would try "waiting."

Okay, it's tough. Features like automatic window closing, automatic rearview mirror dimming, and the horn sounding when the central locking engages are nice. Especially the latter, although it's trivial, can be incredibly helpful in stressful situations or for people with dementia.
I am waiting for the official release of version 15.6.0 or the successor to version 14.10.2.

Check if you can activate a development test mode in the STG 09, either through adaptation or possibly through coding.
Der Zugriffscode (31347) muß auch nicht unbedingt das Nonplusultra sein. Möglicherweise ist damit noch einiges blockiert. Kannst Du damit überhaupt was ändern? VerPlease search for 20113.

The code 31347 originates from VCDS or the window that appears when I hover the cursor over it.
I believe I managed to activate the fuel tank lid locking mechanism while driving. However, I don't want to claim that definitively, as this issue isn't particularly important to me, and I don't recall exactly whether the feature was already set to "active."
In the motortalk online forum, the feature "automatic mirror lowering when reversing" is described as being programmable. The automatic closing of the sunroof is only available up to the 2014 model year (is this even available on the B8?). Various other features depend on the installed hardware and control units.

Good morning.
Version 15.7 now allows you to activate features such as "acoustic feedback when locking," "automatic trunk closing," or "automatic mirror adjustment when reversing." The activation will also remain active the following day.
Unfortunately, there's no sound when locking, and the mirror remains in its normal position. I haven't checked the sunroof yet.
It's strange because I can manually and electrically lower the mirrors, and I have a "horn" (presumably a parking sensor). I'm not sure if I have the "simple horn" version. I believe that in the 3BG model, the locking horn sound didn't come from the front "horn," but rather from one installed in the rear.

I don't know how it is with the B8. You can find some information about the B6 on the Passat forum or possibly on Alex's website (www.passat3c.info).

I haven't tried either of those things with my 3C, but as far as I remember, the following limitations apply:
- Mirror adjustment: It must have the "Memory" function installed (or its potentiometer) so that the mirror knows its position and can return to its original position.
- Acoustic alarm system: This system triggers via the alarm horn. This means that the battery-powered siren of the DWA (device) must be installed.

However, neither of these comes with any guarantee regarding the B6 model, and even less so for the B8 model.

The Hupton locking system likely only works with the DWA horn.
Regarding the mirror adjustment, try setting the mirror adjustment knob to the passenger side mirror before shifting into reverse. Something might move then. This is at least how it works in the 4F model, although it's not very precise. It only works with the memory function.

ich fand nun im Display / Car Setup Menü einen neuen Menüpunkt: "Akustisches Warnsignal", den ich ebenfalls (per Touchscreen onboard) auf aktiv setzte und nun hupt die Kiste brav beim Verriegeln! D"as" is great!
I activated all the adaptations with acoustic warning signals in the central electronics using VCDS.
The new menu item may originate from the adaptation option "...global".
Let's see if this happens with the Spiegel as well. So far, nothing happens when reversing, regardless of whether the switch is in the "Driver" or "Passenger" position.
