Hello,
I would like to replace the battery in my Golf 8, manufactured in March 2020.
Adjust the diagnostic interface in control unit 019.
The Vcds software is currently version 24.7.1, and I also have the required dongle for it.
Unfortunately, I'm not seeing any numbers for the access permissions, but I need those in order to adjust the new values.
Who has a solution for me?
Best regards, Udo.

Hello Rainer,
An Autoscan was performed, but no authorization codes are still being displayed.
Please attach the log file.
Best regards, Udo.

Good evening, Buddy11.
Your vehicle is equipped with SFD.
Did you have the parking brake engaged and the hood open while adjusting it?
Best regards,
Michael.

Hello Michael,
Yes, I had already done everything, as indicated by the SFD status.
SFD individualization feature set.
If I try to unlock the control unit,
Then comes the "Token Error" message.
I can do whatever I want, but I'm not seeing any numbers displayed when it comes to access permissions. And without them, I obviously won't be able to program the new battery.
Perhaps there's another solution.
Best regards, Udo.

Hello Buddy11,
Then you have three options.
- You register for the Volkswagen after-sales program and obtain access. Then, you can generate a token via the app.
However, starting in 2025, you will also need a Serma certificate.
- You search online for a suitable provider. There are some people who can use TeamViewer to do the coding for you.
- You have it coded at the workshop.
- or you could ask if anyone in your area is active in this forum and might be able to help.
You can't proceed without a token!!
Best regards,
Michael.

Hello Michael,
First of all, thank you for saving me the trouble of doing further research.
I just visited a former colleague (who used to work at Audi/VW) who now runs his own workshop. He complained to me about the things he has to do for these cases, especially regarding the special "Serma" certification. It's even more complicated with other manufacturers like Mercedes. Well, I really don't know if I want to deal with this at 60 years old. I'm really frustrated that I even have to ask about this in the forum.
The best thing would be to replace all diesel mechanics with AI.
Let's see how far society can go with that!
Is Rosstech considering any solutions to this problem for us?
P.S. My problem was, of course, solved by the 10-second access.
Thank you again, Michael.
Best regards, Udo.

Hi, yes, it's in the pipeline, but the collaboration with the VAG Group seems to be quite challenging...
