VP 44 Spare Part

Hello.

Given the fact that my VP44 is leaking, I would now like to pose a question to the VP44 specialists in this forum:

What is the function of part number 3 in the exploded diagram in the appendix, located near the pump impeller? (Is it a sealing ring, a bearing, or just spacer rings?)

Is it possible to replace it without a complete disassembly?

Hi,
It looks like a sealing ring, and there should be one there.
It might be possible to pull it out if the drive wheel is removed.
