Hello,
I'm having a problem with a 2006 Opel Vectra diesel with 230,000 km. The error code is "reduced engine power." When I read the error codes, it shows "differential pressure in the particulate filter." Further troubleshooting revealed that the thermostat is defective.
Now, after replacing the thermostat and several cleaning/regeneration attempts of the DPF, which I was able to reduce from 90% to 70% fill level, the car repeatedly goes into limp mode with the same error code.
Okay, I've now replaced the particulate filter. But it didn't work. I'm still getting the "differential pressure DPF" error code. I've replaced the DPF sensor as a standard procedure and have blown out the hoses.
"During the test drive, the following parameters were observed: idle differential pressure of the DPF is 15 mbar, partial load is 65 mbar, and full load is 85-97 mbar, which is approximately 0.1 bar. An Opel master technician suspects that this value might be too low. The fuel rail pressure is within the specified range. The boost pressure is consistently about 0.3 bar too low. There is also a high-pitched noise coming from the turbocharger area during acceleration." Passat TDI PD AWX 12/2000
