Hello,

Affected vehicles: all with Golf 4 platform and similar production years, or with hard-wired or keyed light switches.

Problem: The fog lights illuminate as soon as the ignition is turned on, and cannot be turned on/off separately.

Cause: The specified contact on the light switch with part number 1C0 941 531 A overheats due to excessive use, and the plastic actuator melts away. This ensures that the connection remains consistently closed.

Solution: Replacing the switch, the list price in free accessories stores is 30.35€ + VAT, but prices may be lower at various retailers.
