Cylinder head cover leak AMF

Hi,

I'm having trouble with an oil leak on the valve cover.
I replaced the gasket (Elring), installed it dry, but it still leaked.
Then I applied sealant (Dirko Gray), but it's still leaking near the screws on the back.

Does anyone have a tip for me? Not enough packing material?
The hood itself has already been replaced with a used one.

Either the hood or the VDD is also defective, or there were errors during installation.

Normally, the sealant is only applied to the joints of the NW bearings.
Possibly, the leak is actually located somewhere else, and the oil then flows like a stream to the lowest point, where it drips off.

So... Remove the lid and take a look.

-Does anyone know why VW removed the gasket from the parts catalog?
- Is the sealant only needed in the corners?
- Put the dough into the bowl?
- Make the ZK (zinc anode) grease-free and do not apply any sealant there.

Carefully examine the sealing groove of the hood to check if there is any crack or damage.

I'm experiencing a similar problem with my wife's 1.9 PD-TDI. The head gasket has already been replaced individually (as a separate part), but it is still leaking.

According to my mechanic, the plastic cover sometimes develops leaks because it can warp or crack. According to his statement, that's also the reason why VW generally replaces the entire hood instead of just the seal.

No idea if that's true. Due to a lack of time, I will now have everything completely replaced.

That was already the second attempt with two used hoods, so I went to and bought new ones. I hope this will be leak-proof now.

But there's a new problem: the bleeder fitting has a different angle, and the bleeder hose could only be mounted under tension. Is it possible to rotate the fitting? I don't want to force it or try to make it work by any means necessary, otherwise those 122 euros will be gone very quickly...

Alternatively, carefully heat the rigid plastic tube with a hot air gun; it will naturally take on a more relaxed shape.

I'd like to provide some feedback: The ZK hood was returned because the ventilation was incorrectly glued/welded.
After checking, I received a new one .

The new cooker hood design has different screws, the seal is thicker, and it is, above all, leak-proof .
