The error codes P1213, P1214, P1215, P1216, P1217, P1218, P1219, and P1220 are triggered when a short circuit is detected in the injectors (fuel injectors) to the positive terminal (B+) for cylinder 1 (P1213), and so on, up to cylinder 8 (P1220).
Possible symptoms:
- MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) light is illuminated on the instrument cluster.
- Poor engine performance.
Possible causes:
- The fuse for the relevant injector is defective.
- Faulty or damaged injector wiring.
- Injector failure.
- Engine control unit (injector control) defective.
Note: In Opel vehicles, error code P1220 can also indicate problems with the VP44 fuel injection pump! Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Rainer Kaufmann - dieselschrauber VCDS Shop
