T5 2.5 TDI AXD: Which Turbo is Installed?

Hello everyone,

I have a quick question: it seems like two different types of turbos were installed in the AXD.

Can I determine which turbocharger I need based on the vehicle's VIN, without having to remove the existing turbocharger?

I know it's a Garrett turbocharger, but unfortunately, I don't have the part number.

EDIT: I can access the parts information through the dealer's AKTE system, but they are not providing the part number.

The part number or model designation is located on the compressor housing of the turbocharger, directly next to where the intake hose connects in the center. If you can't see it directly: Use a digital camera/phone (set to close-up) without flash, and take a few pictures from a distance of about 30cm.
Somewhere, the part number will be legible.

The loader is called 070 145 701 K (new) or KX (replacement).
