Perhaps someone here can help me.
My injectors will eventually fail, and when they do, I'd like to upgrade to larger injectors. Does anyone know of a company that offers refurbished or larger injectors?
Is this a 1.6 TDI CR engine with 105 horsepower, identified by the engine code CAYC, and equipped with Siemens injectors?
Thank you very much!
Best regards,
Markus

Hello,

Without wanting to stifle your creativity: if you're modifying other components, you'll inevitably need a software adjustment. However, if you simply want more power, a software modification can push the engine to its limits.

Install the parts that are included in the series, and have a (skilled) tuner give you a little more power, and if that's not enough, then upgrade to a 2.0. Everything else, in my opinion, is pointless tinkering icon_wink.gif.

My car has been tuned on a dynamometer. The final result was 143 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque.
I want to upgrade to a larger turbocharger. The problem with that is the injectors. Their flow rate is already at its limit. Because of the long injection time, the exhaust gas temperature becomes very high. Therefore, a larger turbocharger won't provide any benefit without larger injectors.
Please don't mention the 2.0 TDI. I want to increase the power of the 1.6 engine.
Darkside Development offers nozzles with 50% more flow rate. However, unfortunately, they cost 1500 pounds excluding VAT. That's why I'm looking for a more affordable alternative.
Thank you very much!

Yes, you're right. Discussing the meaning or purpose seems pointless. If you have contact with a tuner who has good equipment, there's surely some experience to be gained there. After all, he would have to adjust the injectors, and possibly even help with the necessary calibration. This isn't a VP engine anymore.
