P0500, P0501, P0502, P0503 - Speed Sensor (Solution)

The error codes P0500 - P0503 are related to inappropriate or faulty speed measurement values.
In older vehicles, the speed signal is obtained from the mechanically driven speedometer, while in newer vehicles, it is obtained via the ABS sensors on the wheels.

Iron filings and rust particles, as well as mechanical damage to the ABS rings, and excessive wheel bearing play can lead to inaccurate wheel speed measurements, even if the sensor and its wiring are functioning correctly.
