Hello, I'm having a problem with my Audi A4 B7 2.0 TDI (BPW) where the old camshaft was worn down on the 6th valve, specifically the tip was gone. So, I replaced all the lifters, all the bearing shells, all the screws, and the camshaft with new parts from Kolbenschmidt. However, I just couldn't shake the feeling that something else might be wrong with the engine. So, I removed the valve cover, and what do you know? The cam lobe and lifter number 6 show clear signs of scratching. What's curious is that I've looked at several similar cases, and almost always the cam lobe on the 3rd cylinder is worn. Is this a design flaw?
Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be? Could it possibly be a problem with the valve? The lifter looks like it's being crushed between the valve and the camshaft.
Before I start tearing things apart, I'd like to measure the oil pressure at the location of the oil pressure sensor. Does anyone know what values I should expect under different conditions?

Da ist ein Stopfen ? I didn't know that.
I just checked the oil pressure at the location of the oil pressure sensor while the engine was warm, specifically at 90 degrees Celsius.
The oil truck is in.
Idle speed: 1 bar.
3 bar at 2000 revolutions.
4.8 bar at 3000 revolutions per minute.
It seems everything is alright, or is it?

Have I understood correctly? If the oil pressure is correct, then it can't be the case that the plug on the rocker arm is missing, right? Or could it be that it fell off anyway and is related to this issue?

Try starting the engine briefly with a helper, without the cylinder head cover. You can put something around it to catch any oil splatters so they don't make too much of a mess.
If no oil is reaching the camshaft, then you've found the cause.

I would start by checking the hexagon socket head cap screw on the oil pump and replacing it immediately. It's quite possible that the oil pressure is only temporarily low, which could have caused the problems in the cylinder head.

I was also thinking the same thing. However, I've already removed the timing belt, camshaft, vacuum pump, etc. The fact is, when I removed the camshaft, there was oil in all the bearing journals. So, oil is definitely present. It's possible that not enough oil is reaching the area. I can't shake the thought that the new camshaft might simply be poorly hardened. In most of the cases I've found online, the 6th lobe is affected, just like in mine. So, it seems that, for some reason, the lobe wears out first, possibly due to a design flaw. I'm wondering what would happen if the new shaft is so poorly made that it wears out immediately. Then there's the question of the bearing shells. I've been told that it's normal for them to look like mine after a short time. They say that with insufficient lubrication, proper grooves would form. Do you think there's any truth to that?

Okay, I'll phrase it with question marks - the lubrication of the camshaft and the bearing surface is achieved through oil that is forced out of the bore around the hydraulic lifter (and through oil mist above the cylinder head).
