BMW E87 116i N45B16A timing chain broken/jumped

Can someone tell me if it's normal for oil to spray out when drilling and turning the tool by hand?

I turn the non-return valve in or against the direction of rotation until it hits the stop (depending on the non-return valve), and then it should lock. But with mine, I can still turn the non-return valve without the chain being moved. Hopefully, you understand what I mean..."
