I have a Tiguan here that's having issues with its regeneration system.
I was previously at a different workshop, and they supposedly performed a forced regeneration, but they also reset the ash mass counter (this is the second car they've done this to).
Oil ash volume: 0.00 l
Oil ash mass: 0.03 g
I checked the adaptation channels and went to "Initializing the particulate filter," where it shows "0 km." I looked up the value for a 1.6 CAYB engine, and it's still specified in grams.
I then entered 64,000 km in this adaptation channel, and of course, the two oil ash values (MWB) also changed. I now have values of 0.04 liters and 5 grams.
Is this correct, entering the mileage in the adaptation channel?

That should be correct. The ash content is likely (or exclusively?) calculated by MSG based on the mileage.
If the value is set too low, for example, 0 km, then the MSG interprets the pressure difference actually caused by the ash load as a soot load and initiates regeneration very frequently.
Perhaps you could share the engine data and the ash and soot values sometime?

I've now had a chance to drive a car of the same year, but with the more powerful engine. The mileage is also similar.
The adaptation channel "Initialize Particle Filter" also shows "0 TKM," but the mass balance values with the ash mass are almost the same as the values I have now after the adaptation. Okay, let's test this to see if the problem has been fixed.

Still remembering: the APK (kilometer reading) is always at 0 km. If you enter a new value, it will appear in the ash mass field.
