VCSCOPE.EXE Error: Troubleshooting Diagram Issues

"For some time now, I've been getting the error message "Can't spawn VCSCOPE.EXE" when opening diagrams in Block."
Using Windows 7 without any antivirus software.
I have already uninstalled VCDS (V20120-Installer) and KDataScope (KDataScope_222_GER), deleted the Kaufmann and Ross-Tech folders, and reinstalled everything.
The KDataScope program runs through the Start/Programs menu, regardless of whether VCDS is open or not.
Did I make a user error?
Until recently, I was able to display the values in a chart.

Windows 7 support ended in January 2020. Therefore, I highly recommend using a more recent operating system. I only mention this for your information.

It's not unlikely that your Windows 7 is no longer functioning correctly. I recently experienced the same issue with my Windows 10. The only solution is a clean reinstallation.

What I want to express is that the problem might not be with VCDS itself, but rather with Windows.

Is Windows Defender also not active? What does the Windows Event Viewer say?

That would be a real shame if it's due to Windows 7.
I only use the PC for diagnostics, so should I buy a completely new operating system for that? I'm still considering whether to reinstall Windows 7.

I once marked the folders "Kaufmann" and "Ross-Tech" as excluded files in Defender, but unfortunately, it didn't work.
Regarding the event log: Well, it's all full, and I don't know where to look. I tried starting the chart and searching for entries at that time, but it doesn't seem to show anything.

Reinstalling Windows 7 is a good starting point. Furthermore, a Windows 10 activation key can be purchased for under 20€.

I once tested a laptop with Windows 7 (which, by the way, had FreeAV installed) and only installed VCDS without KDataScope. In this setup, the diagram even works without KData or VcScope.
It seems there's probably something wrong with my workshop PC running Windows.
Let's see if I can find the error, or if it's easier to just start over.

The VC-Scope distributed with VCDS version 20 is no longer compatible with 32-bit systems. Which version of Windows 7 are you using, and what hardware are you running it on?
The simplest solution is probably to take VC-Scope from an older version.
