I recently took my car for its mandatory technical inspection (Hauptuntersuchung). On the way there, the car ran without any problems.
During the emissions test, when the technician introduced a gas pulse, a black cloud came out of the exhaust, and the engine revved up much too slowly. When I tried to drive the car out, it immediately stalled. So, I started it again, and the same thing happened – the engine runs, but it stalls immediately when starting because there's no power. (The same thing happened even with the EGR valve disconnected). So, I let the car cool down for an hour. Then, it started up again and drove as if nothing had happened.
"I've already temporarily replaced the turbo, as well as all the intercooler hoses, the boost pressure sensor, and the mass airflow sensor. The vacuum hoses are also leak-free. It's a 1.9 TDI engine with code MBK: AVF."
