Hello everyone,
I'm trying to activate the speed limit display feature on my A6 facelift (using VCDS version RKS 17.8.1).
Here's what I did:
STG 17 Adjustment Channel "modified". "Traffic sign recognition" enabled.
STG 8E: Byte 2, bit 0 set (B8 -> B9).
Adaptation channels for "valid supplementary signs," "no overtaking" signs, and "end of speed limit" signs. "Welcome" activated.
STG 5F adaptation channel enabled for "BAP-traffic_sign_recog._0x21", "menu_display_road_sign_identification", and "menu_display_road_sign_identification_over_threshold_high".
Then I tried to activate the hidden menu (where VZA (Off) should be disabled) using:
STG 5F, adjust channel 06 to 1.
- I couldn't find that, though...
Okay, so here's the situation: I can activate the speed limit display for both the car and the assistant, and the new menu option is also present in the instrument cluster. However, I only receive the following message:
"Speed limit display outside of operational area."
Is there anything I'm missing? I read something about a "label file"...
(Unfortunately, I'm only an IT specialist and not a car mechanic

).
Perhaps someone has already managed to do this with VCDS?
