Hello, I'm having the following problem: The air conditioning stopped working. The compressor was replaced and recharged. The compressor is working, but the interior isn't getting cold. When I read the error codes, the following message appears: "Temperature sensor, evaporator, defective" and the error cannot be cleared. Can anyone tell me where this temperature sensor is located and how to replace it?

There's a sensor that you can see when you remove the pollen filter and look up towards the blower motor. It's accessed from inside the car; you need to remove the panel underneath the glove compartment and reach up. It requires a quarter turn and then you can pull it out, but it's quite fiddly.

You wouldn't believe it, but it's true. It was due to the control panel of the air conditioning system. I once replaced it because the lighting was malfunctioning. Somewhere, I read that there's a difference in the programming or something like that between the two suppliers, Hella and VDO. I seem to remember that. So, I swapped the control panel back to the old one. The self-diagnosis test for the climate control showed no errors, and the climate control function is working properly again.
