Golf 5 Variant ABS/ESP deviations in wheel speed

Hi.

I have a Golf 5 Variant TDI from October 2008.

The ESP (Electronic Stability Program) light starts to illuminate at speeds of approximately 50 km/h.

VCDS is connected, and the left front wheel exhibits a consistent lead in rotation compared to the other wheels. The faster you drive, the greater this difference becomes.

I don't know if the problem existed before, as a faulty steering angle sensor had disabled the ESP. I replaced the steering gear and also the faulty wheel bearing on the front left side at the same time.

Did I cause the problem myself by installing a faulty sensor or magnetic ring on the new wheel bearing, and could the ABS sensor be the cause...?

There are no error messages.

My first thought was "the wrong wheel bearing was installed."

Is the sensor ring larger than on the other wheels?

I still need to add some information: Currently, tires of size 205/55R16 are mounted, and all tires are from the same manufacturer with identical tire pressure.

When I had 195/65R15 tires before, it was possible to drive without the ABS/ESP system activating.

Briefly, the cause was a misaligned axle geometry due to the used steering gear.

After the wheel alignment, everything was okay.
