TDI AWX Oil Pressure Sensor for VW C5

Hello everyone,

As mentioned above, I want to see oil pressure in addition to boost pressure. That's why my question: The oil filter housing seems to have a blank plug. Can this be used instead of an adapter?

I'm not sure which blind plug you mean. Do you have a picture?
For the AWX engine, there is an oil cooler kit that connects to the oil filter via a spacer flange.
Since that's necessary, it doesn't seem to be quite as simple as it appears.

You can definitely reduce oil pressure where the original pressure sensors are screwed in.

There might also be limit switches with integrated sensors, but I'm not sure about that; it would be great if they existed.

Thank you for your quick response. I'm not near the car right now, but maybe it can be identified from the pictures (the drawing in the upper left corner).

I thought adapters often take up a lot of space and are frequently not airtight.

In the photo, you can see the flange connecting to the engine at the bottom, the connection to the oil cooler on the right, and the flange for the oil filter on the left. The oil pressure switch is screwed in. So, that's like diagram image 2 from the parts catalog, rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise. Where would a blind plug be located?
The wiring diagram shows either the oil pressure switch (as installed in the photo) or a screw.

If there is enough space, install a T-fitting where both can be screwed in.
