Genuine leather gear shift bag for VW T6

Hello,

Unfortunately, the original gear knob ("so-called leather trim") of the T6 is not durable; the artificial leather is crumbling at a crease.
Just found more cheap, low-quality "leather" substitutes.

Does anyone know of a source for a suitable leather shift bag?

I'll send you a picture and the dimensions tomorrow. It's an Audi 80, but it's genuine leather, and it might fit.

I sent you a private message. If Volkswagen doesn't offer anything in genuine leather as an option, I would consider having a custom-made piece created by a furniture upholsterer or saddler.
It cost as much back then as the Audi part made of leather.

To do that, the wiring harness needs to be detached from the frame.

It should be solvable.

I've already installed gear sticks in several cars, sourcing them from other models, usually purchased through eBay auctions for a certain amount of money.

Der Plan ist jetzt ein neuer Hebel + Schaltsack vom Ali plus "Umbau" auf Echtleder.

I also found a ready-made option in genuine leather for around 80 EUR (from innovativcar-tech).
